Val Fitch (1923-2015) was a Nobel-Prize-winning American physicist. Fitch was drafted into the Special Engineer Detachment in 1943.
Frank Willox was a machinist and mechanic in Hanford, Washington from 1943 to 1970. He came to Hanford from Colorado in late 1943 and stayed on after the war.
