Laverne Bloom worked as a Military Policeman from 1945-1946 in Hanford, Washington. While not on guard duty, Bloom often cooked for his troop and occasionally made meals for the director of the Manhattan Project, General Leslie Groves.
Anton Kegl was a janitor at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Virgil Harris worked on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. After the war, he worked for Sandia National Laboratories.
