Gerhart Friedlander (1916-2009) was a German-American nuclear chemist. Friedlander was born in Munich on July 28, 1916.
Harold Hoover was a member of the Special Engineer Detachment during the Manhattan Project. He worked as a filter foreman at the Y-12 Plant, but his real job was in counterintelligence, to ensure no sabotage occurred.
Asa Swain worked in the shop at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago during the Manhattan Project.
