Warren Sharp was a chemical engineer employed at the K-25 Plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Sharp assisted with the gaseous diffusion process as a civilian after unsuccessfully trying to enlist in military service.
John “Jack” Carleton Healey, a colonel in the U.S. Air Force, participated in the Manhattan Project as part of General Groves’ staff in Washington, DC.
Helen Jernigan arrived in Oak Ridge after finishing her first year in college at Tennessee Wesleyan College.
