The Allis-Chalmers factory in West Allis, Wisconsin

William Rose worked as a welder at the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company in West Allis, Wisconsin from November 1943 to April 1946. Allis-Chalmers was the primary contractor for the production of the powerful magnets used at the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
