John E. Bonds served in the 390th Air Service Group. After the war, Bonds was assigned to the Japan Atomic Bomb Damage Survey teams.
Seymour Calvert served for 11 months in the Special Engineering Detachment at Los Alamos. He specialized as a chemical engineer, and carried out experiments with beryllium that were often dangerous.
W. Maddox worked in the shop at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
