Mr. Stein Goes to Washington

Category:
Ray Stein at the World War II Memorial

On Wednesday, October 8, 2008, Manhattan Project veteran Ray Stein was one of 89 World War II veterans who flew from Atlanta to see the World War II Memorial.  Ray’s flight and all expenses were paid for by the Honor Flight program founded by Earl Morse, a Physician Assistant and Retired Air Force Captain, to honor veterans he had taken care of for over 27 years.  Since the Memorial was built in 2004, the Honor Flight program has brought over 10,000 World War II veterans to Washington, DC to see it.  This week, Ray Stein was one of them.
