Irene LaViolette was born in Manhattan in 1920. After she finished kindergarten, her family moved to Greece, where her grandparents lived, due to diminishing economic prospects in the United States.
Attended the Carnegie Technical Institute.
Alan E. Florin was a research associate in the Chemistry Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory during the Manhattan Project.
William G. Stolsonburg served in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron.
