Ethel Schwartz arrived as a bride with her husband, Manuel Schwartz, at Los Alamos in 1944. She worked in the office until she became pregnant with her son, Joel Schwartz, who was born there after the bombs were dropped on August 6, 1945.
Antoinette Cichy was a nurse in the main infirmary at Los Alamos, handling classified documents and classified medical cases.
Norman Elliott was a research associate in the Chemistry Division at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
