Evelyn Brown was a laboratory assistant at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago during the Manhattan Project. She worked with a number of other women technicians, such as Addie Saunders, Nellie Jennings, Eleese Bowman, Julia Elaine Freeman, Valda B. Lemke, and Marilyn Jordan.
