Gayleen Meservey is a native of the Idaho Falls, ID area. Following a short stint at a technical school in San Francisco, she began work as a data processing clerk at the National Reactor Testing Station in Idaho in 1964. There she worked for about seven years.

She eventually returned to school, graduating from Brigham Young University in 1974. Gayleen is now an actively involved director and participant in the cultural and theatrical community of Idaho Falls. In 2003, she received the Eliza R. Snow Award for the Preforming and Visual Arts. BYU defines this award as: “The purpose of this award is to recognize and honor alumni who have excelled in the performing or visual arts as either a professional or an amateur.”
