Isabella Karle (1921-2017) was a pioneer in the scientific field of crystallography. Her work on molecular structures had a sweeping influence across many scientific fields by allowing, for example, scientists to study nerve transmissions and aiding chemists in synthesizing pest repellents.
Walter Zinn (1906-2000) was a Canadian-American nuclear physicist. Zinn was born in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1906 and graduated from Queens University in 1927.
John Brolley was a research assistant at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago during the Manhattan Project.
