Clare Whitehead joined the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) in 1943. After training in the Manhattan Engineer District and working in Oak Ridge, she transferred to Hanford, where she was a secretary for military intelligence.
Rollin L. Flanagin served in the 1st Ordnance Squadron.
Charles Hensley worked for the United States Engineer District Office.
Joseph Levinger was a research associate at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
