Paul Vinther arrived in Hanford in 1950 where he worked as a physicist and reactor operator. Vinther worked alongside DuPont and observed first hand DuPont's safety philosophy as well as many of the safety measures put in place to protect workers at the plant.
Gunnar Thornton was a nuclear physicist and engineer that served in the Special Engineer Detachment (SED) at Los Alamos and on Project Alberta in Tinian.
George P. Hammons served as a corporal in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Up An’ Atom.
