William L. Murphy was a Technical Sargeant in the US Army who worked as part of Project Alberta, the team that transported and assembled the two atomic bombs in July and August 1945.
Staley worked at the Y-12 plant at Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project.
H. M. Ellis, Jr. worked for the Roane-Anderson Company.
