Vanstrum began working on the Manhattan Project soon after receiving his engineering degree from the University of Minnesota.
Ralph Nobles was one of three brothers to work on the Manhattan Project. He and his brother William worked at Los Alamos, while brother Robert was at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory.
Ernest M. Bahor was a chemist. He graduated from the University of Detroit. He was a member of the Special Engineer Detachment and worked at the K-25 Plant in Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project.
William O’Brien worked for the United States Engineer District Office.
