During WWII, Robert Goodell was a member of the Special Engineer Detachment (SED) and worked as the Technical Supervisor at the Y-12 Plant at Oak Ridge, TN.
Laverne Bloom worked as a Military Policeman from 1945-1946 in Hanford, Washington. While not on guard duty, Bloom often cooked for his troop and occasionally made meals for the director of the Manhattan Project, General Leslie Groves.
Floyd A. Lemley served in the 603rd Air Engineering Squadron.
O. P. Shoop worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
