Helen E. Krinek was a research assistant in the Health Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Rolf Landshoff (1911-1999) was a German-American physicist. Soon after receiving a Ph.D. in engineering from the Institute of Technology in his native Berlin, Landshoff began to feel nervous about his place in his home country.
Smiley worked at the 200 West Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
