The Alpha Racetrack at the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge, Tennesee

Robert F. Clothier was a technical supervisor for the  Tennessee Eastman Corporation assigned to the Y-12 Plant during the Manhattan Project. He later retired from the Engineering Department at San Jose State University.

Robert J. Stock served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned as a tail gunner to the Bockscar, but did not fly on that plane during the Nagasaki bombing mission in August of 1945.
