William L. Murphy was a Technical Sargeant in the US Army who worked as part of Project Alberta, the team that transported and assembled the two atomic bombs in July and August 1945.
Charlie L. Gibbs served in the 1027th Air Material Squadron.
Mary E. Parrish was a research assistant at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
